this year will be pivotal for me. this is the year that I will graduate college with my bachelor's degree in psychology. this is the year that I will hold an internship. this is the year that I will travel to the inland Pacific Northwest for a summer road trip. this year will hold a lot of growth.
I sat down with my notebook and wrote my word of the year, my intentions of the year, and my goals for this year. It was refreshing to think of 2020 as a new canvas that I have the freedom to create on.
I am here to meet the year 2020 with open arms. I aim to embrace all 2020 has to offer. I have hope that 2020 will treat me kindly.

rule of life | I am going to set goals in each of these categories.
time - money - power - imagination - community - decision-making
read hard books |
I have six books on my reading list that I want to finish before the end of 2020, as well as, a few books that come out throughout the year.

keep track of my budget weekly and monthly. I have an overarching goal of saving $50 a month for an emergency fund and saving for my two trips that I am taking this year.
run and move |
work out each week. running, walking, swimming, or whatever.
POWER and COMMUNITY |
sacrifice | time and money
commit to the practice of gleaning — frequently sacrificing opportunities for our own advancement to intentionally create pathways for others. I will continue to serve at the church. I love spending time with my small group!
daily dependence |
practice active dependence on God through prayer, reflection, and worship.
These are my goals, which are incredibly simplified compared to 2018, and I hope that they help me achieve my goals.
Till next time,
