Trip Dates: December 16th, 2023 - December 23rd, 2023 In coordination with a local freelance guide with 20+ years of experience, this 8-day trip is created for the moderately versed hikers who are ready to challenge themselves by hiking to some secret alpine lakes and kicking back while drinking Argentinian wine and eating cordero. Pack your bags to enjoy rich Patagonian culture, laugh with new friends, and have the trip of a lifetime. ITINERARY December 16th: - Arrive in El Calafate (FTE) between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. There is a transfer at the top of each hour. - Welcome dinner is included December 17th: - Drive to El Chalten (approx 2 hrs) - Hike to Cerro Torre Viewpoint (4 hrs) - Check into hotel in El Chalten December 18th: - Trek to Laguna de los Tres (8 hrs) December 19th: - Rafting La Leona (3 hrs) December 20th: - Trek to Laguna Torre (8 hrs) December 21st: - Drive to El Calafate (approx 2 hrs) - Horseback riding (2hrs) December 22nd: - Explore Perito Moreno - Farewell Dinner December 23rd: Depart from El Calafate (FTE) between 12:00pm and 3:00pm. You should be able to withstand exposure to various conditions, like elevation gain up to 3,100 FT, direct sun exposure, mud, rain, and wind. Have a good read on your ability and be able to self-monitor your health. You will need a moderate level of fitness to have the ability to complete all stages of this hiking trip. Guides are equipped to ensure a safe trip but will expect self-efficiency to ensure a memorable experience.
